Massimo Ruffolo
Founder, CEO and CTO
Massimo, the founder, CEO and CTO of Altilia, is an established entrepreneur with previous start-up experience. Massimo has shaped product, marketing and business strategies for substantial enterprise customers worldwide. With more than 20 years’ experience with AI, ML, NLP, Big Data, machine reading comprehension, deep learning models and more, Massimo is leading Altilia toward becoming a global contender in AI. His background includes the publication of several scientific journal articles in the field, and appearances as an expert guest speaker for AI conferences worldwide. He is a researcher for the Italian National Research Council and an external professor for the University of Calabria.
Ermelinda Oro
Founder
Altilia’s founder, is a researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and an external professor at the University of Calabria, where she obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science. Ermelinda was a visiting researcher at the University of Oxford and the University of Koblenz-Landau. She has more than 13 years of experience in AI. Her research interests include natural language processing, machine reading comprehension, question answering and dialogues, deep learning, knowledge graphs, web scraping and wrapping, document layout analysis and understanding, social networks analysis, and information retrieval and extraction.
Umberto Scilinguo
Chief Operating Officer
With more than 10 years’ experience as a team leader driving business finance processes, control and administration, Umberto Scilinguo is Altilia’s Chief Operating Officer. Umberto brings experience and insights in the design and implementation of products like the, as well as global customer experience in multiple industries worldwide. He is Altilia’s voice of authority for administrative, financial, and production business processes.
Antonio Colasante
Chief Growth Officer
Antonio Colasante is the chief growth officer at Altilia, with more than 15 years’ experience as a sales director, including as Sales Director Financial Services Analytics South Europe for Oracle. He developed his career within leading consulting companies, such as Accenture, Everis, Deloitte, and other major financial institutions in Italy and abroad after graduating with a degree in Economics. He is a voice of authority on risk management, and has been a guest speaker at seminars for ABI and Borsa Italiana.
